The Devil's Arithmetic is a historical novel beautifully written by Jane Yolen. It has 170 pages. It explains how a Jewish girl named Hannahlives in New Rochelle. She is transported back in time to Poland in the 1940's. Hannah is very intellengent and brave.
She is very intellengent and brave for multiple reasons. After being tired of hearing the some Holocaust story over and over, she finds herself in a terribe situation. Later, Nazi soldiers came to take away the villagers and only Hannah knows where they're going. She tells the people" I kno where they're taking us. I am from the future. I recommend this book to everyone who loves to read greatness.

Milkweed
Jerry Spinelli does a marvelous job on the novel, Milkweed. It has 208 pages and it's filled with sadness and greatness. The novel describes Misha, Uri, and Janina. Misha and Janina run the filthy streets to steal food for themselves and the orphans. Misha wants to be a Nazi until one day he changes his mind. Misha is smart and unselfish.
He is very unselfish because he shares with Uri, Janina, and the orphanage when he doesn't have much. He is also very smart. He finds ways to stay alive and eat. He wants to be a Gypsy and a Jackboot until he knows it's smarter to be nobody. I recommend this book to anyone who loves good books.
